Parking/Security
Visitor parking is provided in designated areas of the hospital lot. Spaces for handicapped parking also are available. While we strive to keep all areas of the hospital secure, we are not responsible for vehicle damage, fire or theft while parked in the hospital lot. Security personnel are on duty around the clock and are available to escort you to your vehicle after dark. Contact the hospital operator (dial 0) for assistance.
Family Concerns
Family members may meet with clinical staff at biweekly patient conferences, arranged to discuss a loved one’s current condition and progress and to answer questions.
Post-Hospital Care
When your doctor determines that you no longer need the specialized services of our hospital but still require medical care, he or she may discharge you to a skilled nursing facility, a rehabilitation center, or to home care. Our discharge planner will help arrange for the services you may need after leaving the hospital.
Medicare and supplemental insurance policies have limited coverage for skilled nursing care and home healthcare. You should check your policies to be certain what services will be covered.
Referral Process
The referral process is designed to provide the referring physician, hospital, nursing center, insurance/managed care company or family member with the information needed to make a decision about additional treatment in a timely manner. Upon receipt of a referral, our clinically licensed case managers will conduct a clinical assessment of the patient on location at the referring facility. A response to the appropriateness of a referral will be provided within 48 hours.
